These questions are asked to determine if you have children and/or a dependent(s) for whom you are providing financial support.

How to answer this question / fill out this section

  • If you have children, or are expecting children in the year for which you are applying for aid, you will answer “Yes.”
  • If you also, or only have a dependent (someone who may not be your own child, or possibly even a parent), AND you also provide more than 50% of their living expenses, then you will select “Yes.”
  • You will select “No” if you have a dependent, but do not financially support more than 50%of their living expenses.
